Jaume

Senior Consultant

Jaume joined Finalta as an Analyst in 2007 after completing a Master's in International Affairs. Prior to that he had gathered multiple experiences in the area of business research in Germany and the US, including short stints in public policy.

Can you describe a typical day at work?

In my current role as Consultant I continue to be directly engaged in the benchmarking work we carry out for our clients, but have gradually taken on greater project management responsibilities. This includes co-ordinating a team of Finalta colleagues, and providing direct support to our clients throughout the delivery process. As well as completing my own primary research, I am responsible for managing Analysts in the production of programme deliverables.

Highlights since joining Finalta?

Given my background in International Economics, I particularly enjoy our projects in Central and Eastern Europe. Our clients in these markets must react rapidly to changing conditions if they are to provide superb retail financial services with limited resources. In these projects I can see our work being applied directly, as banks use our insight to set the foundations for growth in the next few years. Of course, I also very much enjoy the odd opportunity for forays into Europe's culinary scene!

What makes Finalta a good company to work for?

Finalta has provided me with an invaluable opportunity to work with top management executives in retail banks across Europe and advise them on the key issues driving their banks' performance.

I would recommend Finalta to you if you seek a steep learning curve and are keen to take on responsibility at an early stage. Finalta provides and encourages opportunities to show one's potential.
