Associate Director, London-based with European travel
About the role
Finalta is recruiting Associate Directors. For outstanding candidates with retail banking knowledge and exceptional commercial, leadership and analytical skills, we offer an exciting opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, small team environment and a springboard for those looking to develop their business building and entrepreneurial skills.
The position requires outstanding commercial, management and analytical capabilities. Key responsibilities include:
Business building
- Expanding into new markets including: proactive meeting booking, leading client pitches, proposal writing, pipeline management and deal closing.
- Deepening and expanding existing relationships
- Working alongside McKinsey partners on joint client proposals
- New product development
Client delivery
- Presenting to board level clients
- Leading workshops to help translate results into action plans
- Managing multiple clients and stakeholders
- Creating compelling insights and original thinking
- Managing and writing thought leadership papers
Management/leadership:
- Line managing consultants & senior consultants, focusing on personal development and leadership skills
- Leading strategic work streams
- Proactively leading and improving operational excellence
- Company management
What we are looking for
Finalta is looking for candidates who are able to take responsibility for the company’s market development strategy and execution in a specified market.
Knowledge of the retail banking industry is essential and languages are highly desirable. The successful candidate will have 6-8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a core analytical, research or consulting background. They should be able to demonstrate relevant line, project and client management experience.
The successful candidate will have excellent commercial, analytical and consulting skills, report writing and project management capabilities, plus a customer service ethos and superb inter-personal skills.
Applicants should have a good degree from a top tier university and/or an MBA from a leading business school. Excellent verbal and written English is essential.
All candidates must be eligible to work within the UK.
